The fighting game community

Hello guys,
I'm doing this in english because my french is balls so i'm sorry for the inconvenience.

While I was doing my daily grind on ssf4:AE and came across mrx eviljo. So I sended him a text, that me and some other flemish dudes were trying to revive the belgium community, he sended me to this site and I'm shocked that I didn't knew this one .

Nways me and 5 other dudes are trying to get the belgian fighter community back. I know we have no arcades, or atleast at the flemish part, don't know about the wallonie part.
We saw how Alex valle took his time with the WNF and made the community grow and we want to try that aswell.
We want to get as many offline games in as we can and even do some ranbats just for fun. Though I know we have a language barrier but that shouldn't stop us from achieving that goal.
I hope we can find some other enthousiast and that we can meet and get some games in!

for now we only play SSF4:AE but we can always broaden our intrest.

And we all know there are alot more of you blokes that are good at the game then the flemish counterpart!

Yeah, the fighting game scene in Flanders is pathetic There's mainly a scene in Brussels and Liege. The players from Brussels are really good though ! And in Liege there are also some nice ones.

As you can see, I live in Leuven. If you guys organise stuff don't hesitate to post about it here, I'll make sure to come around. I only really play Blazblue though, but I participate in any fighting game tournament anyway

it's not really fighting game oriented, but they organise fighting game tournaments too.

PS: is mcVlad one of those players you are talking about ? He was another Belgian at SvB in London, but I didn't get the chance to meet him.

no mcVlad isn't with us he's too good with that sim of his hehe, dunno but i think he trains alot with the french guys.

I know pushstart, the organisers (shiryu and bamboebahr) are peeps i already know hehe .

And sorry for the english guys i can read french i just can't speak it. I can understand not all players can speak the language but then we just have to share our passion with handsigns and what nots hehe !

we regulary organise a fight night at someone from hasselt, so if u want to join in once in a while be sure to hit me up.

I'm one of the guys Dissa is talking about.. I see a couple of familiar names from XBL on this forum.. looks like most people are from the French part of BE
But yeah.. we're always looking for more people from Flanders to hook up with, or get some games going.. (on/offline)

Well .. for your Hasselt sessions, If they are during the day in the weekend, or I can sleep over, I can come. I don't have a car (or a driver's license).

I have a little problems with my french as well, but don't let that be a showstopper to come if they organise tournaments in Brussels. Some people here can also speak dutch and if you speak broken french, they'll understand what you mean anyway

I'm planning to pick up SFIII:3S when it gets released on PSN / XBOX live. I loved that game.
I wanted to start an offline scene for Blazblue:CS, but I've failed until now ... seems like i'm one of the only people that tries to play it seriously in Belgium, which is a shame. To play it offline I have to go to tournaments in France (with 3 players :| ...) or go to Super vs Battle (I go every year now, loads of strong competition).

Well i'm one of the dudes dDissAa was talking about... The hasselt sessions are always at my place.

We usually do it at the weekends and a sleepover is no problem at all. We even got a few movies about our fightnights and own footage as well.

we'll see when the next FN will be, @nstalkie, i'm still figuring out what to do with the sound but i'm still getting used to my capture card. and i dont think it will be a prob for your stick since everybody usually takes their stick with them.... i should really set my second tv up and borrow a second xbox xD

I totally agree... the language shouldn't be a barrier for the community... if you all are playing fighting games, you should know at least the basics in English
